Miss Rachel began dancing at the age of nine years old, taking classes in ballet, pointe, jazz, and tap. She graduated from Russell Sage College with a Bachelor’s in Performing Arts Management. Later, she was employed at Madeline’s Dance Center in Marlboro, NY teaching and choreographing for the Performing Team. As a “Dance Mom” she also assisted with recital management, community outreach, and fundraising. She also taught Dance 101 and Dance 102, at Columbia Greene Community College. More recently, she was asked to choreograph Sandra Dutton’s Just a Matter of Time (J.A.M.O.T), at BridgeStreet Theater, Catskill, NY. She also paired up with Guy Apicella to learn ballroom dance and performed in Upstage Productions’ Holiday Follies, as well as Winter Walk in Hudson. Finally, she took the opportunity to begin learning African dance with Elena Mosley of Kuumba Dance and Drum, and performed at the Kwaanza Festival at Hudson Hall. Miss Rachel is genuinely grateful to have the opportunity to share her love and passion for the arts with students of all ages and is looking forward to the future of performance.
